Symptoms
On : 2.5.0.0.0 version, Web Workspace
The Viewer's Trace tool is retaining the previously searched class even after the text box is cleared out.
Trace functionality - After picking a device from the Device Class search folder and performing a successful trace, any entries typed into the search field of the Device Class do not produce errors or new results, instead the trace continues to produce the last successful trace run.
This is true even if you leave the entry field blank after already have one successful run.
If you clear out the text field, it should clear out the trace datastore
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Login to Web workspace and open viewer load network.
- Select a device and open Trace Tool
- Select Option To Device Class
- Select as device class from class search, the class is populated in the text field
- Perform tracing, the tool performs tracing and trace path highlighted
- Clear device class text field manually
- Click on the Trace button.
- The Viewer shows the previously traced path, which is confusing because the Device Class was cleared
