dm_aq Publishing Events to the Incorrect Event Queue (Doc ID 2707410.1)

Last updated on APRIL 03, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On all versions of Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management (BRM), the Synchronization Queue Manager Data Manager (dm_aq) is responsible for publishing events to configured event queues for non-BRM applications to keep them in sync with BMR.  These are often external customer relationship management (CRM) applications.

After configuring the appropriate payload definitions, queues, and which events to publish to which queues, it may be observed that dm_aq is incorrectly classifying events to the expected queues.

Enabling debug does not show the logic behind the classification of the events but it does show which queue the event is being published to.

As a result, applications listening for specific events on specific queues may miss events.
