Question On MDM 2.2.0.1 Support (Doc ID 2708413.1)

Goal

Customer have installed MDM version 2.2.0.1. MDM was supported on Oracle WLS 12.2.1.1.0 and Database 12.1.0.1 as per Oracle Installation guide for MDM 2.2.0.1. Please refer:

Currently the Database 12cR1 (12.1.01) is under extended support.

Installed version of MDM (2.2.0.1) has premium support up to May 2022, while underlying tech stack seems to have run out of premium support faster which should not be the case as tech should be supported at least as long as the application.

Lifetime support policy of all the oracle products are listed in the pdf (attached) and it is the latest updated doc by oracle. Also, Oracle doesn't certify any other Database version with MDM 2.2.0.1. So we have no option but to buy extended support.

Please clarify why MDM 2.2.0.1 has Premium support till May 2022 while underlying tech stack (Database 12.1.0.1) went to Extended support.
