TRANUPLD Throws "uom PACK Not Found For Uom_type QTY. Table = Uom_class." Error (Doc ID 2708573.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 18, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Trade Management - Version 16.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

How to create a Pack Item as a Regular Item without having Pack attribute? That is, the component Items are never sold individually; the Pack UOM should be treated as EACH for the entire Pack.

For example, you have an item “Speakers” – this comes as a pair of speakers enclosed in a cardboard box. You do not ever open the box to sell speakers individually, it’s ALWAYS the package of two speakers sold in one transaction.

As per the current design, execution of the Batch Process for Data Loading using Oracle Retail Trade Management, TRANUPLD (Transportation Upload), throws "uom PACK not found for uom_type QTY. Table = uom_class." error.
