Ldap Users Unable to View User Groups They Belong to, and Lose Privileges Assigned to the User Group (Doc ID 2709436.1)

Symptoms

Actual Behavior

LDAP users are unable to view the user groups they belong to, and lose privileges granted to the User Group

Expected Behavior

LDAP users can view the user groups they belong to, and able to have privileges granted to the User Group

What is Working

admin user (database authenticated user) can view the assigned user group of the LDAP user

 

Facts

User Group assigned to the LDAP user is a User Group created in Java Client, and is Global group

Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to Java Client as admin user
2. Search for LDAP user, and goto User Groups/Functional Teams tab. Can see the User Group
3. Login to Web Client as LDAP user, and goto My Settings, and goto User Groups/Functional Teams tab. Cannot see the User Group
4. Try to do any operation which requires the privileges assigned to the User Group. LDAP user is unable to operate with insufficient privilege
