What is the correct definition of the N_VOLUME column on the Staging Transaction tables for EPM applications?  All tables have the same definition:

"The Transaction/Activity Volume. Transaction volume refers to the number of shares traded in a given contract. It is simply the amount of shares that trade hands from sellers to buyers as a measure of activity."

Additionally, shouldn't the N_VOLUME be defined as an amount column (NUMBER (22,3)) instead of as NUMBER(22,14)?  How is this column used?
