Global Search and Replace in P6 Web Hangs and Never Completes (Doc ID 2711411.1)

Symptoms

Using P6 web, when attempting to use global search and replace with project code or UDF in the criteria, the operation hangs and does not complete.

Steps to Re-produce

  1. Log into P6 web
  2. Actions - global search and replace
  3. Under Available projects", choose a project.
  4. Choose a template
  5. Define search criteria:
  6. Add "a UDF"
  7. Add "a UDF" or project code
  8. Define replace criteria:
  9. Add the replacement criteria
  10. Replace
  11. 3 dots appear and the replacement does not ever complete.
