Reports Server Does Not Start - Service Error 50125

Symptoms

-When starting the reports service it fails with the following error:

The 9iDSReports [repserver_name] service terminated with service-specific error 50125.

 


Oracle Reports Server CGI - Unable to comunicate with reports server.

Note: to start the reports server trace follow these steps:

 

  1. Edit file rep90,servername.conf under d:\oracle\9ids\reports\conf
  2. Check the following section of the file, and be sure be sure you have line  <log option="allJobs"/> :

  <job jobType="rwurl" engineId="rwURLEng"/>
  <notification id="mailNotify" class="oracle.reports.server.MailNotify">
    <property name="succnotefile" value="succnote.txt"/>
    <property name="failnotefile" value="failnote.txt"/>
  </notification>
  <log option="allJobs"/>
c-  Also uncomment the line with the following entry  trace traceOpts="trace_all" :

 

Change:

<!--trace traceOpts="trace_all"/-->

 

To:

<trace traceOpts="trace_all"/>:

 

 

  1. Start the reports server 
  2. Check file d:\oracle\9ids\reports\logs\repserver_name.trc
