During Reverse Auto-Population (RAP) by way of PIF integration:

Bulk Reverse Auto-Population is replacing the Data Element's (DE's) in the destination Business Process (BP) with a "null" string when the source BP Data Element has empty/blank values.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Ensure the DE's are blank
  2. Use the specific source to destination DE mapping via PIF integration
  3. Call bulk RAP service
  4. Verify the destination DE
  5. Notice that the blank ones are converted to null instead
