Regular Price Is Overriding Ongoing Promotion Price (Doc ID 2716606.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 05, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management - Version 16.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When prices are integrated from Retail Price Management(RPM) to Store Inventory Management(SIM) the existing price of the promotion should get preference over regular price changes. But it seems like new regular prices are overriding the price shown in item lookup when an existing promotion is still running.

Steps to reproduce :

 1. Create a promotion price for an item in RPM and let it flow down to SIM (Say the start date be July 1 and end date be July 30).
 2. Verify and confirm that the price is getting reflected in item lookup correctly.
 3. When this promotion is still active , create a new regular price change for the same item, say on July 2.
 4. Notice that in the item lookup the regular price is shown as the current price from July 2 (It should not, as promotion is still active until July 30).
