Searching For Multiple Data Intake Profiles In A Group Customer Results In A Null Pointer Exception (Doc ID 2717520.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 12, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Insurance Policy Administration J2EE - Version 11.1.0.12 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 11.1.0.12 version, General

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Searching for multiple Data Intake Profiles in a Group Customer results in a null pointer exception. If you navigate to a Group Customer and view the Files it takes in as part of Data Intake, by default you will see one profile attached.
When you click the Find button to search for another profile (or the same one) OIPA will crash with a null pointer exception at line 373 in the IntakeFileUIP class. It crashes loading localized information.
The reason is because clicking the find button does not call this method localizeStaticLabels. That method only gets called during the initial load

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Clicking Find for a group customer in OIPA will allow you to view another DI profile

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Log in to OIPA
2. Navigate to a Group Customer with a Data Intake profile
3. Click Data Intake for the Group Customer
4. Click the Files Tab (must load a data intake profile prior to this appearing)
5. Click the Find Button
OIPA should not crash
