Request for ECE Tool to Check Data Consistency in Federated Architecture (Doc ID 2718477.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 21, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Communications BRM - Elastic Charging Engine - Version 11.3.0.6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The user is requesting for a tool in Elastic Charging Engine (ECE) to allow detection of the differences between the customer data stored on an active ECE site and a passive ECE site. Due to the volume of data handled in user's production environment, using dumps taken with the query.sh tool in both sites and comparing them is not a feasible solution, hence the user is requesting for this tool.

After a restart of the replication between active and passive site, the user observed the differences in the product/discount information for each customer between sites.

In the first scenario, there are differences in data for products/discounts such as different id, status, usageValidity, purchaseValidity, effectiveTime, etc. The tool should detect differences such as these and informs the user that the account is different between sites.

In another scenario, the files contain the same data with the exception of an isAlreadyConflictResolved flag at the end. The tool should not mark these as differences as the data itself is the same between sites.
