Unconstrained Plan - Projects/Task - Order Modifiers Create Excess At End Of Plan (Doc ID 2724408.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 30, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version 12.2.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

12.2.6
with Cum patch #8

After upgrading from12.1.3 to 12.2.6, ASCP users noticed items with FOQ still respected for last planned order in an unconstrained plan.
This is creating a tremendous amount of excess material drive. This did not occur in 12.1.3.
If FOQ for item ABC set to 100 and the last demand after netting all open purchase orders is 5,
ASCP generated planned order still reflect FOQ of 100 instead of 5 as reflected on version 12.1.3.

In addition, we have manually created profile name MSC: Enhanced Project Netting and set the site level option to No.
Re-ran ASCP plan and last planned order is still driving to FOQ instead of the quantity that will not create excess.
