Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On RMB v2.8.0.0.0, Not able to make REST Inbound Call to ORMB.

App Server: WebSphere

We are implementing REST JSON based web service to interact with other system.
We have done the basic REST configuration setup in ORMB and trying to test the inbound call using Postman API tool. But it is failing to trigger the REST call.

ERROR
-----------------------
000000ea SSLHandshakeE E SSLC0008E: Unable to initialize SSL connection. Unauthorized access was denied or security settings have expired. Exception is javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Client requested protocol SSLv3 not enabled or not supported

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Setup REST Service
2. Check security: Request call to check security. This goes through successfully, getting ‘200 OK’ back.
3. Get the token: This is the token request call to get the ORMB REST token for successful handshaking. Here is the place where we get the error back. We get ‘404 Not Found’ back.
4. Use the token generated to send the actual request: Can’t trigger this call with Token.
