On Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (NCC) 12.0.2.0.0 version,

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
-----------------------

Below problem is observed with the Voucher Type Recharge (VTR) associated with a Periodic Charge which is handled by the Voucher and Wallet Server (VWS).

A Periodic Charge (PC) has a Voucher Type (VT) attached to it, and the voucher is granted when the PC renews. Here it is observed that the PC renewal is dynamic, ie, a monthly charge should happen at the same time every month, but sometimes that's not possible. For example, when there is a short month, one can not figure out how this particular scenario is meant to work.

Scenario 1:

User subscribes to periodic charge on the 31st of Jan. Here it is observed that Both the VTR and the PC are adjusted to the end of the following month

Scenario 2:

PC renews during the short month, on the 29th of Feb. This doesn't work as expected. The voucher balances are given one month, and are not adjusted in line with the periodic charge.

The vouchers and their balances are separate from a PC, but since the granting of the voucher is encapsulated into the periodic charge renewal, it doesn't appropriately align with the longer than usual "month".

Below are the associated dates:

Subscription:

Start Date: 20200131052020
PC expiry [after PC3]: 20200229052055
Voucher expiry: 20200229052020

Renewal:

PC Expiry [after PC3]: 20200331052055
Voucher Expiry: 20200329052500

This means the subscribers balances will expire a full 2 days prior to their subscription renewing.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Scenario 1: PC expiry on the 29th of Feb, due to the short month. Same for voucher balances.

Scenario 2: PC expiry adjusts to the 31st of March, in line with the original subscription date. *Same for voucher balances.*

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1) Create VT with a monthly expiry on a balance
2) Create a monthly PC with a credit plan linked to the VT from #1
3) Configure VWARS_sysdate.cfg for subscription
    e.g.:
    Subscribe 31st of Jan
    300735 2020/01/31 05:20:20
4) Subscribe to PC
Observe expiry of PC and VT as per month boundary
5) Configure VWARS_sysdate.cfg for the renewal
    e.g.:
    Renew -> 29th Feb
    300735 2020/02/29 05:25:00
6) Query wallet
Observe PC adjusts in line with original date, whereas VT balance is not extended so finishes early.
