Error: Connection Timeout, When Attempting To Update A Large Volume Of Line Items Via UPDATEBPRECORDV2 REST Call (Doc ID 2730627.1)

Symptoms

When performing an "updateBPRecord" V2 REST service call to update a large number of Line Items (800+), Project Integration Framework (PIF) is timing out after approximately 10 minutes with the following error (the error has been truncated to remove proprietary information and only the relevant error portion is retained):

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Configure Project Integration Framework (PIF) or REST Client to perform "updateBPRecordV2" to update a BP record and add 800 Line Items.
  2. Initiate the PIF or REST client job.
  3. The REST job fails with the error noted above.
