Build Container With Multi SKU Child Container Not Allowed (Doc ID 2737472.1)

Last updated on APRIL 13, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Warehouse Management System - Version 16.0.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ORWMS 16 build container functionality is not allowing the creation of master containers based on child containers of different items with status "D" unless SCP labeled_reserve is set to Yes.

The creation of master containers of distributed child containers with different itens is important to allow users to consolidate containers with same CSR and ship based on the capture of master label. ORWMS just allows this process if labeled reserve = Y due to modification done to correct problem identified in SR 2300156- The Container is Invalid" Error While Splitting a Container (Doc ID 2300156.1).

The validation of scp labeled reserve should be done only for containers with status "I", not for containers with status "D".

Steps to replicate:

1 - Access Build Container screen (Menu option 2/1)
2 - Inform a generic container ID and a location
3 - Inform a child container located in the same location informed in step 2 (container with status D).
4 - Inform another child container (status D) with a different item_id of the container informed in step 3 and located in the same location informed in step 2.
5 - An alert message informing that is not allowed to consolidate containers with different item ids is exhibited. user cannot complete the operation.
