Executing the SQL_Mangler_Script.sql script does not mask the data as intended.
The database-mangling script for the Microsoft SQL Server database platform should render unintelligible all sensitive information found within the database - all names of Projects, Users, Activities, Resources, EPS and WBS, along with other data tied to those items.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Connect to the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio as sa using SQL Server Authentication.
- Expand Databases on the left, then right-click the desired database name and choose New Query.
- Copy the contents of the SQL_Mangler_Script.sql script into the window then click Execute.
- Review the database data and note that sensitive data has not been changed.
The SQL Server database utilizes the NVARCHAR datatype.
