Customer Updater Fails to Start after Obsoleting a Charge Offer in PDC (Doc ID 2740927.1)

Last updated on JULY 10, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Communications BRM - Elastic Charging Engine - Version and later
Oracle Communications Pricing Design Center - Version and later
Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

1. Obsolete one CHARGE-OFFER in Pricing Design center (PDC).

One can use the ImportExportPricing utility to obsolete PDC components with a Promoted status if they are not referenced by any other pricing components.
      To obsolete PDC components:

Export the PDC component which should be obsolete into an XML file. See "Exporting Pricing and Setup Components from PDC" for more information.

In the XML file, set the <obsolete> element for the PDC component to true:
Import the PDC component into the PDC database with the -ow parameter. See "Importing Pricing and Setup Components" for more information.

        For example:
        ImportExportPricing -import -pricing export_pricing.xml -ow
The imported PDC component is obsoleted.

2. Restart Elastic Charging Engine (ECE) and see that customer updater fails to start.

In the above scenario PDC is not triggering deletion in Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) while obsoleting the product. How to resolve this issue ?
