Unlocked Asset Class Model - Unexpected Error Messages (Doc ID 2742837.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 17, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Insurance Policy Administration J2EE - Version 10.2.0.37 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 10.2.0.37 version, General

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
When an Unlocked Asset Class Model model (ModelType = 03) consists of 2 or more Asset Classes, and a user chooses to not populate fund percentages in some of them, having at least one Asset Class with correctly populated non-zero fund percentages, the system does not allow to save allocations with the following Error Message for each Asset Class with non-populated fund percentages “0% : Current Total percent cannot not be equal to 0 for Asset Class”.
Looks like this message is a leftover from Asset Class Model (ModelType = '02') where '0%' is actual AsModelAssetClass.AssetClassPercent. With Asset Classes being 'Unlocked' AsModelAssetClass.AssetClassPercent = 0.00, and the requirement that each Asset Class totals are above 0.00 is unnessesary.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
If at least one Asset Class is correctly populated non-zero fund percentages, and the remaining Asset Class totals are zeroes, the system should allow to proceed.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
 1) Create a model of the above referenced types (ModelType = 03), PercentLock = 'N' with at least two Asset Classes
2) Configure PolicyAllocationScreen or/and TransactionAllocationScreen using this model
3) Enter funds percentages in at least one Asset Class, and leave fund percentages equal to zero in at least one Asset Class.
4) Save allocations
