BeVWARSExpiry.so Plugin Does Not Expire Buckets When Total Balance Value Exceeds Max Int 32 (Doc ID 2744157.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 21, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 12.0.2.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When having active balance of a balance type greater than INT_MAX, then wallet is getting locked and not able to edit or modify the wallet. beVWARSExpiry Plugin was not able to delete the expired buckets.

The issue is reproducible on Network Charging and Control (NCC) 12.0.2 version. Steps to reproduce the issue:

1. login into SMS (Service Management Server) GUI (Graphical User Interface)

2. Services -> Prepaid Charging -> Subcriber Management -> select a subscriber and edit - Wallets - Balance type: Data

3. By creating a bucket with expiry date to expire soon and a new bucket with offset date = expiry date of the first bucket. Set values to 2097152000.

The beVWARS process is the engine of the Voucher and Wallet Server (VWS). Usually, more than one beVWARS process runs on a VWS. It reads and caches wallet and voucher information from the database and manages all queries, reservations, and updates against wallets.
