Details

The Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management (WAM) version 1.9.x was first released in 2010 and Extended Support for this version will end in July, 2021. This document provides additional information for existing WAM v1 customers on what this means from a product, support, and technology perspective.

The status of WAM v1.9 support has been communicated over the last few years at the Customer Edge conference and also through support and community announcements:

WAM Release Support Summary:

• Lifetime support matrix of what is and is not supported under Sustaining Support: Oracle's Lifetime Support Policy
• WAM v1 Premier support has already ended and Extended support will end July 2021
• Lifetime Sustaining support for WAM v1 will continue, but there will be no fixes delivered on WAM v1 after July 2021

Existing WAM v1 customer should plan their upgrade to the most current version of WAM v2.2.x or Work and Asset Cloud Solution (WACS) as soon as feasible to receive new features, security updates, and certifications as part of Premier support.

Oracle Utilities recommendations the following for existing WAM v1.9 customers until an upgrade can be completed:
1. Isolate your WAM v1 application server from all Java, WebLogic, and operating system updates.
2. Isolate your WAM v1 application server from the internet to decrease security concerns.
3. Isolate your WAM v1 user client machines from browser and Java JRE updates.

With regards to #3 above, Internet Explorer 11 is going End of Life (EOL) this year:
