File Manager Start Up Fails and Web Client Access Fails After Changing the Application Server URL to Web Proxy (OHS) URL (Doc ID 2750993.1)

Symptoms

File Manager fails to start up with below error after changing the URLs in the Java Client and server.conf to connect to web proxy URL.

Error

 *** File Manager Initialization failed ***
Reason :Uncaught exception thrown.HTTP status code 404: Not Found

When attempting to connect to Web Client through web proxy URL, gets error: This site cannot be reached

Fact

Web proxy for the Agile Application Server is Oracle HTTP Server (OHS)
Agile Application Server has one admin node and one managed node

Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Configure mod_wl_ohs.conf of OHS so that requests for the /Agile URI received at the Oracle HTTP Server listen port will be forwarded to /Agile of the WebLogic Server
  2. Log into Java Client as admin user, and go to Admin tab > Server Settings > Location
  3. On the General Information tab, change the Web Server URL from
  4. Restart File Manager, and it fails to start with error
  5. Access to Web Client URL with https://{webproxy}.{domain_name}/Agile/PLMServlet, and gets error: This site cannot be reached
