Excel XLSX Cannot Be Opened After Imported Into P6 (Doc ID 2751453.1)

Symptoms

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM:

When attempting to open an xlsx file after import, the following error occurs.

ERROR:

.xlsx is locked for editing by another user.

Open 'Read-Only' or click 'Notify' to open read-only and receive notification
when the document is no longer in use.

and

The action can't be completed because the file is open in Primavera P6.

STEPS:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Import Excel file to P6 Professional.
  2. After import is completed, open the excel file from the location on the hard drive.
  3. Note the message unless P6 Professional is closed.
