Is There An "imsimta qm sum" Switch To Show Age Instead Of Date For Oldest? (Doc ID 2760588.1)

Last updated on MARCH 16, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 8.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The "imsimta qm summarize" command, with the "-oldest" switch, shows the date/time of the oldest message in each channel queue.

Is there a switch to display that info in "age" rather than date/time?

Yes, the output can be parsed and the age can be calculated, but that is surprisingly problematic because:

* since the current -oldest switch does not display the year, the logic to handle the first few hours/days of the year need to be included
* the begin/end of Daylight Savings Time needs to be dealt with

Something like a "-age" switch would be a lot easier where:

- the display would be in "minutes". Minutes and Seconds would be ok, but seems excessive.
- the "minutes" granularity could be converted to "hours" as needed, rather than having only "hours".
