Symptoms
On Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management (BRM), when attempting to run pin_crypt_app as a user not defined in /etc/passwd, the following error occurs:
This affects systems which authenticates users with an external system such as Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) and regardless of whether pin_crypt_app is executed as part of the installation of BRM and when manually called.
This error started when OZT encryption was introduced to BRM.
