Argus V8.2.1 Enhancement – Reject Incoming E2B File But Send Successful ACK
(Doc ID 2763851.1)
Last updated on DECEMBER 04, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Life Sciences Argus Safety - Version 8.2.1 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
An enhancement request has been filed for the following:
SUGGESTED FEATURE:
A way to allow users to process (reject) an incoming file with a negative ACK but send a successful ACK when the problem with accepting an incoming file has nothing to do with the data of the case.
BUSINESS NEED:
There are multiple negative ACK scenarios in which no data needs to be corrected. In such cases the regulatory guidelines stipulate that the sender must correct the data and resend the case.
There are cases where the sender does not need to correct any data and resend the case. It is very resource intensive to send queries to partners and agencies requesting further information on the rejection, or receiving queries.
EXAMPLES:
1) Performance issues where user gets error messages and cannot import the case. In this scenario the user is forced to reject the file due to timelines in reporting and they then must manually update the data within the case.
2) A follow-up is received for a case that has been deleted in Argus. This could be a follow-up or a nullification.
There may be more scenarios but these are the ones where the user saw the highest volume of issues.
