Goal

For Oracle Financial Services Asset Liability Management (ALM), how do you calculate the correct value for the "SharedMemory" setting in the ofsrm.ini file?

The ofsrm.ini file is located in the $FIC_DB_HOME/conf directory.  ALM uses the value in "SharedMemory" when getting a shared memory segment for cash flow engine processing.  If the setting is too low, ALM will not have enough memory to start the process and the process will fail.  If the setting is too high, you may run out of shared memory on the server and get semaphore errors.
