Goal

Qn1:

Scenario:

The production environment is currently running on multiDB configuration but we would like to transition to multiSchema instead.
The setup is 3 schemas. pin01 being the primary. pin02 and pin03 are secondary schemas.
Are these steps listed below are sufficient and safe to perform the transition?

1.Add following lines in /appl/portal/7.5/setup/scripts/pin_multidb.conf:
  $PIN_MD_SECONDARY_PARENT_SCHEMA[0] = "pin01";
  $PIN_MD_SECONDARY_PARENT_SCHEMA[1] = "pin01";
2: execute expect pin_multidb.expect
3: execute perl pin_multidb.pl -R all

4: check on schemas pin02 and pin03:
 - materialized views were dropped
 - views were created

5: Replace the follwing in dm_oracle pin.conf (example for pin03)
  - dm primary_schema PIN01\n- dm schema 0.0.0.1 PIN01
with:
  - dm schema 0.0.0.1 PIN01\n- dm schema 0.0.0.2 PIN02
