The mathif causing it is the following :
<MathIF IF="Not IsEmpty(SegmentDoNotReinstate) AND (ApplicationTypeValue=APPLICATIONCATEGORY_NEWPOLICY)
AND (ACTPolicyLastApplicationStatusReason=POLICYSTATUSREASON_CLIENTREQUEST OR ACTPolicyLastApplicationStatusReason=POLICYSTATUSREASON_LAPSED

</MathIF>

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
The reason for this MathIF to cause a stack trace is because the variables ACTPolicyLastApplicationStatusReason, SegmentTerminationDate and ACTPolicyTerminationDate can be null depending on the context.
The user could correct it by verifying they are not null before comparing them they would have to apply the correction to numerous transactions.
And this clause is functioning correctly under V10.2.
