Error "URLDownloadToCacheFile failed with HRESULT '-2146697208''' When Attempting to Install P6 Pro ClickOnce (Doc ID 2769136.1)

When attempting to install the P6 Professional ClickOnce client, the following error occurs.

URLDownloadToCacheFile failed with HRESULT '-2146697208'
Error: An error occurred trying to download <URL>/p6professionalcloud/x64/P6Professional.application'.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. In the P6 environment, click Install P6 Professional.
  2. On the next screen click the Install button.
  3. Download and run the setup.exe file.
  4. Observe the reported error.
