ALM Cash Flow Engine Fails on Solaris With Errors on libSmsC++11.so and libstatomic.so.1 (Doc ID 2770400.1)

Last updated on APRIL 30, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Financial Services Asset Liability Management - Version 8.0.7 and later
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)
Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA)
Oracle Financial Services Asset Liability Management (ALM)

Symptoms

In a Solaris environment, for ALM 8.0.7, when executing an ALM Process, all processes fail.  There are no cash flow engine logs generated.

The following error is output to the nohup.out in $FIC_DB_HOME/bin:

ld.so.1: ofsrm: fatal: libSmsC++11.so: open failed: No such file or directory

You did complete the steps in the ALM Installation and Configuration Guide in the "Post Installation Configurations" chapter under "Changes in .profile file for Solaris Operating System" to update the LD_LIBRARY_PATH.

If you go to $FIC_DB_HOME/bin and run the command "ldd ofsrm", the library libSmsC++11.so is found but another library, libstatomic.so.1, is not found:

libSmsC++11.so => /<OFSAA Dir>/ficdb/lib/libC++11/libSmsC++11.so
.
.
.
libstatomic.so.1 => (file not found)
libstatomic.so.1 => (file not found)
libstatomic.so.1 => (file not found)
libstatomic.so.1 => (file not found)
libstatomic.so.1 => (file not found)

etc.

The prevents the cash flow engine from executing.
