Symptoms
Scenario:
- In a customer implementation, PCM_OP_PRICE_COMMIT_DISCOUNT opcode is used to create /discount objects during order processing (account creation).
- A performance issue is encountered while processing the order wherein, it took about 316 secs (8 calls of PCM_OP_PRICE_COMMIT_DISCOUNT internally) in one order processing.
- After enabling "enable_pcm_op_call_stack" and investigating, it was found that PCM_OP_PRICE_COMMIT_DISCOUNT opcode is taking about 38 seconds for one opcode execution.
How to address the performance issue of this opcode, given that in the above testing environment, there are about 100000 total discount objects in the database.
