Goal

On Oracle Communications Elastic Charging Engine (ECE) 12.0.0.3.0 version,

While performing RatedEventFormatter (REF) High Availability (HA) testing in the production system, customer is observing CPU spike when the Active Instance of REF was brought down and Passive instance of REF started picking up the load from NoSql Database.

Active Instance of REF was brought down when the Nosql Count was 2 Lakh. The CPU Spike they observed during this is 60%.

Here the CPU spike has come down once the nosql count is reduced. Every time when active REF is brought down the Passive one picks up the NoSql records with High CPU. Once the Records are processed the load on CPU also Decreases. They have observed this issue not only for fail-over case, the CPU utilization is going high with the active instance also. But still when the Nosql count reaches around 8 Lakhs to 10 Lakhs records they observe the CPU spike with active instance as well.

Is this the expected behaviour?
