Questions On Error From Contact Server - Found More Than One Entry For Domain Search (Doc ID 2773577.1)

Last updated on MAY 05, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Contacts Server - Version 8.0.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Qn1:

We have an issue with the contact server as we have several domains which are hosted at different places within the LDAP directory.
We have no choice but to keep it like that and we cannot move them within the same LDAP branch.

Do you know where we could modify the request "(&(objectClass=sunManagedOrganization)(|(sunPreferredDomain=example.com)(associatedDomain=example.com)))"?
Is there a way to not use the domain name from the mail attribute and only use the one from the displayName attribute as "displayName: userB@<DOMAINNAME>" ?

Qn2:

We have many more associatedDomain(s), approximately 15,000 that are shared.
If we create one generic organization with all of domains hosted on the platform and the associatedDomain(s) under that, would that be an issue to have so many associatedDomain(s) for one organization?

Qn3:

If we are going to have all the associatedDomain(s) under the same organization, all the users will be able to see all of the other users in the corporate directory from the "address book" panel. We do not want this.
Can we apply a dynamic ldap filter based on the customer name or the domain name from the user to resolve this?

We could modify the ldap filter but this is only a static filter, which is the same for all users.
Is it possible to specify the domain for example in the ldap filter with something like domain=%V ?
