Managed Server Fails to Start and this Error Appears in Log "Com.splwg.oms.ejb.ConfigException: Unexpected Error: Java.lang.NullPointerException" (Doc ID 2777536.1)

Symptoms

On : 2.5.0.1.0 version, Installation

After installing NMS 2.5, and setting up an OPAL environment, the managed server does not start.

This error appears in the managed server log file:

RMI JDBC Security set to 'Secure'
Testing WebLogic version
Ear version: 12.2.1.3.0
Server version: 12.2.1.4.0
Testing the following initial reference
null
com.splwg.oms.ejb.ConfigException: Unexpected Error: java.lang.NullPointerException
  at com.splwg.oms.ejb.TestGatewayConfig.internalTest(TestGatewayConfig.java:155)
  at com.splwg.oms.ejb.TestGatewayConfig.test(TestGatewayConfig.java:102)



The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Set NMS_SITE_NAME to the NMS server name
2. Do not change 'local' in the OPAL_site_parameters_1.sql le.
3. Attempt to start the managed server
4. See the errors in the managed server log.


Changes

 NMS 2.5.0.0 (or 2.5.0.1) was installed, and the environment was setup for the OPAL demo model
