Overwriting Sub-Control Plans with New or Imported Control Plans Doesn't Recompile Parent Control Plans
(Doc ID 2777880.1)
Last updated on MARCH 27, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.3.0 to 12.0.3.0.0 [Release 4.3 to 12.0.0]Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller - Version 6.0.0 to 12.0.3.0.0 [Release 6.0 to 12.0.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
On all versions of Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (OCNCC or NCC) and Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller (OC3C or 3C), saving/compiling a new or imported Control Plan (CP) with the same name as an existing child CP does not prompt to recompile the parent CP.
As a result, the binary data (which for a parent/sub CP, combines the logic into a single structure before compiling) remains unchanged and any new logic introduced in the updated child CP does not take effect.
If the child CP is opened then changed, upon saving/recompiling, a prompt is presented to the user to compile the parent CP as well.
