Goal

It was noticed that after making any change in the hierarchy data (i.e. hierarchy on which ALM & FTP rules are defined), the Validate_Node_Map procedure is called every time for ALM and FTP process runs.

As this procedure takes long time to run, is it possible to avoid this step for every process run? What is the significance of it?

It was noticed that this procedure populates FSI_PROCESS_NODE_HEADER and FSI_PROCESS_NODE_MAP tables. What is the impact if these tables are not populated?
