Goal

When editing a channel definition by invoking msconfig in interactive mode (as shown below), a mistake/typo made during the process will result in an error, in addition to erasing some of the contents (other channel definitions) too.

For instance, invoke the msconfig -> edit channels as below:

# /opt/comms/messaging64/bin/msconfig
msconfig> edit channels

Then edit a channel definition as shown in the below example:
