Last updated on JULY 08, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Insurance Policy Administration J2EE - Version 11.3.0.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 11.3.0.6 version, General

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Activity details page crashes if ActivityWithholding button not authorized for users. When opening the activity details page for a user without the "Activity Withholding" permission in the Activity Detail plan page, OIPA displays an "com.adminserver.utl.exception.UnAuthorizedExceptionUtl: User action is not authorized" error. This permission was not required in 11.2.2.4

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
If a user does not have access to the ActivityWithholding button permission in the Activity Detail plan page, OIPA will allow that user to open activity details page, without crashing and without showing user activity withholding button.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Define security group with no plan page access to ActivityWithholding button within the Activity Details page.
2. Create pending activity for plan without access
3. Open pending policy details
4. Verify com.adminserver.utl.exception.UnAuthorizedExceptionUtl: User action is not authorized error is displayed
