SQL Error when Saving an Edited SMS Report (ORA-02291) (Doc ID 2791213.1)

Symptoms

On all versions of Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (OCNCC or NCC) and Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller (OC3C or 3C), when saving an edited report, the following Oracle error pop-up will occur:

An SQL Error has occurred. The error reported is 'ORA-02291: integrity constraint (SMF.SMF_REP_PART_FK) violated - parent key not found'

This can be reproduced by:

1. Open the Service Management System (SMS) screens
2. Open the SMS Reports screen (Operator Functions → Report Functions)
3. Select any report under the "Available Reports" pane and click "Edit Script"
4. Click Edit in place" and make changes as desired
5. Switch to the "Parameters" tab and select a node under "Runs On"
6. Click Save

The pop-up error prevents the saving of any changes made to the default report.
