When installing an OFSAA 8.x patch, you get the following space error:

Insufficient disk space. Minimum 199514 MB of free disk space required under Alternate backup location.
Cancelling Patch Installation
Each time you run the installer, it is expects a larger amount of space.
Your $FIC_HOME is a value like /ofsaa8/ where it is the first directory after the root directory.
The params.conf is configured to use a backup directory of /ftpshare/bkup.
