D1-AMCS does not perform satisfactorily
At EQ we are running D1-AMCS for 11 Measuring component sets in an aggregation group. 4 of these measuring component sets are foundation aggregators aggregating from measuring component (channel) to NMI (service point level identifier). I.e. we create a number of aggregator MCs almost equal to the number of SPs. We then aggregate up to the Transmission Node (TNI) (about 150 of these in total).
Running the D1-AMCS job yields a throughput for these 11 runs varying from 7 RPS at max to about 0.002 RPS (for one of the composite aggregators). And the overall completion time for all eleven MC sets is 74 minutes - when reducing the records to 1 TNI. The total number of NMIs aggregated is about 1/150th - 1/100th of the production volume, so a generous extrapolation would make us need 7400 minutes or roughly 5 days to aggregate the production volumes.
Given we have to perform this aggregation 4 times per week there simply isn't enough time to do this. Would expect an aggregation time of a few hours per each of the 4 runs. (Preliminary, Final, Revision 1 and Revision 2), preferably running all 4 on the weekend.
