Applies to:
Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.22.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
On : 7.5.0.22.0 version, Pricing
Charges applied during backdated cancellation.
Scenario:
Account created in Oct-2020 with above cycle arrear product/discount.
Billing day is 1st of month. So charging period was set as 1-Oct-20 to 1-Jan-21.
Run billing in Nov, Dec and Jan. Account got charged in Jan-21 bill. On 10th Jan, cancel product/discount with effect from 01-Jan-21.
In this case, during cancellation, BRM is charging the customer for period 1-Jan-21 to 1-Apr-21. Ideally, it should not charge for this period at all, as we are cancelling effectively from 01-Jan-21.
Note: This issue persists only with cycle arrear events. Same test case works fine with monthly cycle forward events.
