Symptoms
Incorrect Virtual Warehouse Distribution
Oracle Retail Merchandising System(RMS) does an incorrect distribution rule for items that inventory only in VWH that protected indicator enabled . This causes mismatch in stock on hand and transfer reserved buckets.
Steps To Recreate:
- Create a Physical warehouse with at least 4 virtual warehouse (VWH1, VWH2, VWH3, VWH4). Virtual warehouses VWH1 and VWH2 will be configured as protected indicator. VWH4 is the primary virtual warehouse
- Perform inventory adjustment for the 2 virtual warehouses with protected indicator 'Y' (VWH1 and VWH2). Ensure that the other virtual warehouses (VWH3 and VWH4) does not have inventory.
- Create a CO type transfer or an externally generated transfer with from location as the Physical warehouse for 2 units.
