How To Install Multiple Copies Of Messaging Server On The Same System?
(Doc ID 2815820.1)
Last updated on DECEMBER 27, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 8.1.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
The following procedure details how to have multiple Messaging Server installations on the same system, using different messaging server_home, installroot, configroot, and dataroot directories.
Solaris Zones were relatively simple on Solaris, but VMs/Containers/etc on Linux... a little less so.
The Linux RPM install supports the "--prefix" switch to install the binaries in a path other than /opt/sun/comms.
The config on each instance would need to specify separate listen addresses, partition paths, etc.
