Last updated on DECEMBER 03, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Materials Requirement Planning - Version 12.2.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

12.2.4+

PROBLEM
-------------
After implementing new WIP reservation functionality available via Patch 31947255:R12.WIP.C - INVDVDSD supply demand form shows wrong quantities when WIP reservation is setup in WIP Parameters -- on the Material tab

STEPS
--------

----------------------------------------
NOTE: In the images.examples above or below and/or the attached document, user details / company name / address / email / telephone number represent a fictitious sample (based upon made up data used in the Oracle Demo Vision instance). Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.

Testcase to match customer screen shots - Download XLS for detailed screen shots and navigation
1. 100 on hand for item DGCP01 which is used in assembly DGFG01
2. Setup /WIP /Setup / Parameters - Material tab - Automatic Reservation - Job Release (New functionality released in 12.2 )
3. Create job for qty = 2
4. Item supply demand shows WIP job and 100 available - 2 for Work Order = 98
5. Release job - this triggers the reservation functionality
6. Now Available shows 98 and 2 lines showing -2 for Work Order and -2 for Reserved User Source  and total remaining shows 96 -- BUT it should still be 98
7. Reservation and On Hand form show correct totals

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
----------------------------
No extra decrement of quantity when reservation is created - Line showing job quantity should switch from Work Order to Reserved user source
