Error Processing Transaction With Attached DoBenefitSplitChange BR (Doc ID 2817650.1)

Users are encounter ting the following message when processing Transactions with Attached Business Rule DoBenefitSplitChange

 java.lang.RuntimeException: com.adminserver.utl.exception.AsExceptionUtl: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.NullPointerException
at com.adminserver.pas.uip.aspects.UipExtensibilityAspect.extendUipMethod(
at com.adminserver.pas.uip.PolicyActivityUip.processProcessAction(
at sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor2370.invoke(Unknown Source)
at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(
at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a Income Advantage Contract.
2. Add Owner, Annuitant, 2 Beneficiary Role.
3. Add Allocation – Fund with Code 9012.
4. Add Segment with details.
5. Add InitialPremium->Issue->Process AnnuityPayment.
6. Add DateofDeath to the OwnerClient.
7. Add DeathClaimPendingPayout.
8. Add DeathBenefitNoSurviingAnnuitant – with option Continue – and provide contract number.
9. On processing all the spawned transaction new shell contract will be calculated.
10. Use that contract (the one set in DeathBenefitNoSurviingAnnuitant continue section).
11. Process DeathTransferAssetsInPayout on shell contract .It throws stack trace.


1. Find an Income Advantage contract with Processed DeathTransferAssetsInPayout recycle and reprocess.
