Discrepancy 'Review Status' is set to 'CLOSED' while the 'System Status' is 'CURRENT'. (Doc ID 2820367.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 10, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Clinical Remote Data Capture Option - Version 5.0.1 and later
Oracle Clinical - Version 5.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

1)
The OC 5.2.2 Conducting Manual states below for the 'CLOSED' review status (similar text appears in the RDC documentation too):

4.8.1.2 Review Status Code

Closed:
The system sets a discrepancy's status to Closed when it is resolved by either updating the data to a nondiscrepant value or changing the validation procedure or question attribute in such a way that the existing data is no longer discrepant. The discrepancy's system status changes to Obsolete and the discrepancy is removed from its DCF (if any) and no longer appears as current in discrepancy reports.

2)
The above is correct in the context of data changing.

3)
However it is also possible for an end user to manually change the Review Status to 'CLOSED' for say a MULTIVARIATE discrepancy in the OC Discrepancy Database screen. In this case the System Status stays as CURRENT.

Is this behavior intended?
