BeVWARS Core File During Shutdown (Doc ID 2822108.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 17, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (NCC) version,

It is observed that beVWARS core dumps on the primary VWS nodes during shutdown.

Here the Voucher and Wallet Server (VWS) pair is up and running and it has taken some traffic. When the secondary VWS restarts it await the completion of the restart and the messaging from the primary indicating the pair is back online. When the Primary VWS restarts the beVWARS core dumps. It appears this only happen after the primary has restarted.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1) Stop both primary and secondary nodes. Billing is down.
2) Start primary only - wait until clients are connected.
3) Run basic regression suite and charge some calls/SMS.
4) Stop primary and check if beVWARS cores on shutdown
